We serve to support local journalism through not-for-profit, aftermarket, news media curation, through our Long Beach Daily News aggregate.

All articles we curate are under 30-words, and immediately back-link to their original source, ultimately bringing the reader back, as well, which bolsters readership, which is our goal.

Created in October of 2002, TIPPS started as a non-profit organization whose primary goal was to help other non-profit organizations in a variety of service distinctions best utilize and implement technology to better fulfill their respective missions.

At the time of its inception, TIPPS was at the forefront of the information technology storm that was slowly taking shape in the late 90’s, and subsequently, lead to its creation in 2002.

During this period, many organizations were still trying to figure out how to best integrate this emerging technology into their program services, and as a result, TIPPS was there to help with the creation its first distinct online service delivery entity, “ifoundajob.com” which was created by way of TIPPS as job search and employment assistance portal for people transitioning out of poverty and economic hardship – the impetus at this time was to remove the stigma associated with poverty and economic inequality by providing a digital space where people facing challenging circumstances could interact on the web without being marginalized.

As time went on, and the internet became a standard, TIPPS worked to help a variety of non-profit organizations and social causes; ranging from homeless veterans issues, to helping people transitioning out of incarceration.

Today, TIPPS continues to serve the needs of non-profits through its online resources and news and information websites that work to leverage the power of the world-wide-web in helping non-profit organizations serve the greater good.
